Intellectual Property and Copyright Notice

1. What is protected

• •The policy and procedure library, as original literary works and as a database.
• •The software, source code, structure and design of the Service.
• •The Care Shield name, logo and get-up.
• •The selection, arrangement and mapping of the library to regulatory frameworks — which is where much of the work sits, and which is protected in its own right under UK database law.

2. What a subscriber may do

Use, adapt and issue the documents inside your own registered services, to your own staff, and to your regulator, for the term of your subscription. That is a licence, not a transfer.

3. What nobody may do

• •Republish, resell or distribute the library outside the subscribing organisation.
• •Use it to build or train a competing product.
• •Strip copyright lines or licence references from exports.
• •Access the source code, which is held in a private repository under access control.

4. Traceability

Every exported document carries a copyright line and an opaque licence reference derived from the licensed organisation. A copy that surfaces where it should not be can be traced to the account it came from. Export volumes are logged and monitored, and unusual extraction is rate-limited and reviewed.

5. Infringement

We enforce. Report suspected infringement to hello@careshieldcompliance.co.uk. Where we find it we will suspend the account, require deletion, and pursue the remedies available to us including injunctive relief and damages.

6. Third-party material

Our documents cite legislation and public regulatory guidance. Crown copyright material is used under the Open Government Licence. Open-source components in the software are used under their own licences; a list is available on request.
